NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Board of Nursing hearing for a nurse accused of killing a patient was rescheduled for next year.

Radonda Vaught was a nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center when she allegedly gave a patient the wrong drug on accident.

The drug Vaught used ultimately killed the patient. She is no longer an employee at VUMC and was indicted by the Davidson County Grand Jury on charges of Impaired Adult Abuse and Reckless Homicide.

A Tennessee Bureau of Investigation report explains how the mistake happened and that Vaught takes responsibility for the error.

The hearing was originally set for Wednesday morning, but it was rescheduled for February 2020.
