MANCHESTER, Tenn. – A contingency hearing has been set for a man who was shot after allegedly pulling a knife on a deputy.
According to the judge, the hearing for Robert Rosson was scheduled for July 2 in Coffee County.
Rosson allegedly pulled a knife on deputies near Concord Church June 11. That was when Deputy Phillip Smith fired three shots at Rosson, hitting him in the shoulder and thigh.
Rosson was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery to repair his shoulder.
The judge added Rosson was issued a public defender Thursday morning.
