NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Heat Advisory has been issued for portions of Middle Tennessee throughout most of the evening.
The advisory went into effect at noon and will continue until 7 p.m. Thursday’s high temperature is expected to reach 95 degrees, but the heat index will make it feel well over 100.
NewsChannel 5 meteorologist Lelan Statom said a cold front will start moving our way Friday. As the front approaches, showers and storms are likely to occur.
Some of those storms could be severe.
Rain could still be possible Saturday morning as cooler air pushes through the area.
