NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Flood Watch will go into effect Monday morning through Midday Tuesday.
Get ready for a soggy work-week, as waves of heavy rainfall will move across the Mid-State.
The first waves of heavy downpours arrived late Sunday night and lasted through the Monday morning commute.
Another wave of heavy downpours is expected late Monday into Tuesday. We could pick up on more than 2 inches of rain in our southeastern counties under a Flood Watch.
A strong cold front will move through Wednesday bringing more heavy rain and a few thunderstorms. In total we could pick up on 2-4" of rain through Thursday.
Our ground is still saturated from last week's active weather, and many creeks, streams, and rivers are running high. This unsettled pattern could aggravate those areas.
