Police responded to a shooting only to find a car full of bullet holes, but the victim had already been driven to the hospital by a Good Samaritan. However, to continue their investigation, they need to talk to that person.
The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Friday in the Autumn Creek subdivision of Hendersonville.
After finding the victim at a nearby hospital, he told police someone saw him injured, and drove him to the hospital to get help.
Police said they don’t have enough information to make any arrests in the shooting and hope the mystery driver can provide them.
“We'd like to talk to the person who did that, number one, they're a good Samaritan, they should be congratulated and thanked for helping the victim get to the hospital,” said Det. Sgt. Jim Vaughn with the Hendersonville Police Department.
On Monday night, police executed a search warrant at a home in the subdivision. They said they found some evidence, but they still need more help.
