PURYEAR, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Henry County man has been arrested for the murder of his wife, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) said.
TBI agents joined the Henry County Sheriff's Office in investigating Stella Caddell's death. Her body was found at her home on Duncan Lane in Puryear.
Through the investigation, officers learned of information that identifies James Caddell, Stella Caddell's husband, as the one responsible for her death.
James Caddell was taken into custody Friday evening. He is charged with one count of first degree murder, one count of tampering with evidence and one county of abuse of a corpse. He was booked into the Henry County jail on a $1 million bond.
