Henry County man charged with homicide after apparent stabbing

BIG SANDY, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Henry County man has been charged with murder the same day a body was discovered outside of a Big Sandy home.

Gerron D. Crafton, 35, was found deceased on Kay Street outside of his home on Friday morning. Police say Crafton appears to have died from being stabbed.

A joint investigation by TBI and the Big Sandy Police Department has determine Jack Anthony Herron, 34, as the individual responsible for the homicide.

Herron was arrested on Friday afternoon and charged with one count of second degree murder.

He has been booked into the Benton County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
