We all need extra help sometimes. But asking for help isn't always easy. Now a storage unit in Paris, Tennessee -- is handing out hope.
The donated clothing is organized by age and size and this building in Henry County is a "judgment free zone."
"You know they need to help and they don't want to accept it. They want to try it on their own," said Lt. Michelle Brewer with the Henry Country Sheriff's Office.
It's known simply as "The Shed." Lt. Brewer started the project while performing school outreach. She saw a need and got to work.
The original building started small, only 10x15 feet. Now now it's 1800-square-feet of Tupperware and hangers, filled with shoes, jeans, and coats, along with hygiene and cleaning products. They even have a dressing room.
Sheriff Monte Belew says this is a prime example of how his officers are involved in so much more than just law enforcement.
Lt. Brewer says it's about neighbors helping neighbors and hopes people who need a little extra help give her a call.
