The Tennessee Highway Patrol asked for the public's help in their search for the driver and vehicle responsible for hitting and killing a Hillsboro man.
The incident happened in the 10000 block of Highway 41 in Coffee County. Officials said the man was struck and killed while checking his mailbox.
Vehicle debris was located at the scene. A side mirror matching an older model Mitsubishi Galant was also found.
The suspected vehicle matching the description was captured on video surveillance near the area just after the incident occurred. THP called it a vehicle of interest.
Officials asked anyone with information on the case to the Tennessee Highway Patrol Chattanooga District Regional Dispatch Center at 423-634-6890.
