NASHVILLE. TENN. (WTVF) — A man was killed in a hit-and-run on Gallatin Pike Friday night.
Officers say Kenneth J. Urbach, 56, was hit by two cars when crossing Gallatin Pike at Ardee Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Urbach was crossing the street near his home when he was hit by a Chevrolet Camero and a speeding four-door silver sedan.
The driver of the Camaro stopped to help Urbach, but the driver of the sedan did not stop. Urbach died at the scene.
Anyone with information about the crash should call police at 615-862-7713.
Witnesses told responding officers Urbach was hit by a black truck, but after reviewing surveillance video it was confirmed the truck was not driving in the same lane.
Family members have set up a GoFundMe to help cover final expenses.
