CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - One person was killed in a shooting in Clarksville that may have started as a physical altercation.
Police said the shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday on Chapel Street.
When authorities arrived at the scene they found a shooting victim on the ground.
The victim, identified as 53-year-old Ray Charles Nelson, of Clarksville, was taken to Tennova Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police said they believe he may have been involved in a physical altercation before being shot.
Officials said they were processing the scene and conducting interviews.
