RUTHERFORD CO., Tenn. (WTVF) — Human skeletal remains were found in a field off Mount Herman Road in the Kittrell area on Monday night, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office said.
A team from Middle Tennessee State University's Forensic Anthropology Search and Recovery and the medical examiner's office gathered the remains to help look into the identity and cause of death of the person.
The sheriff's office did not release further details on the possible identity of the remains. Detectives will continue to search the area to look for any additional bones.
