Human Rights Campaign Pulls Event From Nashville

Posted

Another convention has pulled its event from the Music City due to the state's controversial new counseling law.

Human Rights Campaign said it would be pulling its 2017 Conference because of the law which allows counselors to refuse treatment to LGBT patients.

HRC released a statement with their announcement calling the measure a "needless and mean-spirited counseling discrimination law."

The American Counseling Association and the Centers for Spiritual Living canceled their upcoming conferences in Nashville as well.
