WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Hundreds of cars packed into the Williamson County Ag. Expo Center Sunday evening for a drive-in church service.

The event was called Beyond Our Walls and featured pastors from 20 different local churches. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee also spoke at the event. Organizers said it was a safe way for people to worship as a group.

Worshipers could watch the service on a big screen and listen through their car radios.

"This is sending a message to our people that worship as they have known it in the past, it will continue," Pastor James Lowe of Bethel World Outreach Church said.

Organizers said they thought of the event about two weeks ago, and planning the massive service was a major undertaking.

"We had a lot of work to accomplish very fast," Pastor Steve Berger of Grace Chapel said. "It's all come together really quick."
