Before folks stuffed themselves with turkey, they broke a little sweat. About 1,300 runners woke up early for the Nashville Turkey Trot 8 Mile and 8K.
Plenty of people packed Two Rivers Park for the start of the races on Thursday morning.
The best part: the participants were given cinnamon rolls.
“It's a great idea for folks to get out here as families and to run together and exercise together and raise awareness for a really great cause,” said Lauren Bonds, of the ALS Association Tennessee Chapter.
The ALS Association Tennessee Chapter and All Community Events partnered together for the event.
