Hunters discovered human remains in the woods of Logan County, Kentucky.
According to officials with the Kentucky State Police and Logan County Sheriff's Office, the hunters found the remains in a wooded area on Willow Pond Road near Auburn Tuesday.
KSP detectives responded to the scene along with the Logan County Coroner’s Office and Logan County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspected human remains will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville for further examination.
No details surrounding the nature of the person's death or how the remains ended up in the woods were released.
