MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — One person was killed in a tractor-trailer crash and fire on Interstate 24 West in Rutherford County.

Rutherford County Sheriff's Office officials say the crash included a truck hauling cattle and one passenger vehicle at the 72 mile marker between I-840 and Almaville Road.

All lanes of I-24 west were shut down as emergency crews responded. Deputies also worked to coral the cattle, which were all accounted for. They will be taken to an alternate location.

One lane has reopened but drivers should expect delays. Westbound traffic is currently being diverted onto I-840 to lessen the traffic congestion.

A video from drivers on the road at the time show one of the cows running down the interstate trying to make its way through traffic.
