The lanes of I-40 west at exit 209A at Church Street have reopened after a crash closed them Tuesday night.
Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation said the crash was reported just before 8p.m.
At least two cars were heavily damaged in the crash, but it was unclear what exactly happened.
All westbound lanes were closed, and have been diverted to alternate routes.
Officials expected the road to be cleared by 10p.m., but it reopened around 9:30 p.m.
