NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The celebration of Tennessee's 50th governor, Bill Lee, continues tonight with two inaugural balls. Both of which were sold out.

Thousands of people attended the festivities at Music City Center to show their support and excitement for the future of Tennessee.

The theme of the night is "Believe in Tennessee" as a seventh generation Tennessean. Governor Bill Lee says he is looking forward to bettering our state and he isn't the only one who is hopeful.

Attendee, Layla Asie said " I'm really very happy to be here...I prayed for Bill Lee to win and he won and this is very exciting."

Governor Bill Lee was sworn in as the 50th Governor of Tennessee at noon on Saturday.

The new governor wants to continue to fight for education and making sure rural cities thrive. President of the Tennessee Farm Bureau, Jeff Aiken says that's something that was very important to him in a governor.

" Being from rural Tennessee and representing farmers, I think Governor Lee will bring added emphasis of the needs of those areas." Aiken said.
