GREENWOOD, Ind. (WTVF) — An Indiana man has been arrested following an investigation by the Technical Services Unit of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation that showed his connection to sexual offenses against a minor.

Gary W. Lynch, 39, of Greenwood, Indiana was taken into custody after several cyber tips came into TBI from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tips claimed that an individual was enticing a minor in Tennessee to take and send images of a sexual nature.

The investigation that followed revealed that Lynch and the minor had met up in Sumner County, Tennessee and engaged in sexual activity on multiple occasions.

Lynch is currently being held in the Johnson County Jail in Indiana until he can be extradited to Tennessee. Once there he will be formally charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Solicitation of a Minor and Aggravated Statutory Rape.
