Internet usage was up 20% on Friday, according to Cloudflare. Companies like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon say they won't cancel services for the next two months if you cannot pay your bill. They are also waving data overage fees and expanding roaming access.
More users will rely on video chat for meetings or just keeping up with family and friends as they self-quarantine.
That means you may see a greater lag in service because so many people are using the network at the same time.
Most college students are going online to finish out the semester, some companies have will offer free internet to students without WiFi.
