NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A crash involving multiple vehicles shut down westbound traffic on Interstate 40.
The wreck happened around 9:49 p.m. Friday in the westbound lanes of the interstate near mile marker 211.
Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation said the road was closed to westbound traffic for just under an hour, with drivers being diverted to alternate routes.
Eastbound lanes were not affected.
Crews said the roadway was clear by 10:30 p.m.
