Detectives seized dozens of items during a raid on a Nashville business that allegedly bought stolen merchandise.

Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department raided the N & P Discount Tobacco & Beer Market on Clarksville Pike Tuesday.

They seized cigarettes, energy drinks, laundry detergent, batteries, a stolen pistol and various clothing items.

Pawn & Fraud Unit detectives had been investigating the market's owner, 59-year-old Nabih Zaher for about three months.

Officials said he bought merchandise on seven separate occasions from an undercover officer who clearly represented the items as being stolen. Zaher paid about a third of what the merchandise was actually worth.

Charges were expected to be made against Zaher. Kroger Organized Retail Crime personnel assisted in this investigation.
