NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Those with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams said they would be reopening soon after a second discovery of listeria shut down the shops.

Representatives said their shops would reopen at 5 p.m. Saturday. They expected to offer a limited menu of ice creams, frozen yogurts, and sorbets made for them by their partners at Smith Dairy.

Jeni’s shops shut down for a second time June 12 due to another discovery of listeria in their production facility.

Representatives said they were confident with the product they sold right before the second shut down because they tested everything they sent out to the public.

With their re-opening announcement, those with Jeni’s said:

“We are excited about the smell of waffle cones baking and to feel the hustle and bustle of the shops. Thank you for your patience and support. We can’t wait to see you.”

The listeria was found a second time through swabbing as part of a monitoring program.
