NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Interstate 65 Thursday in Nashville.
Metro Nashville Police officials identified the man as 49-year-old Randy Follis Jr. of Joelton.
They said their preliminary investigation showed Follis was riding a Yamaha motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on I-65 near Trinity Lane when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a guardrail. He was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died.
There was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement at the scene.
