CMA Fest kicked off on Thursday with Runaway June singing the National Anthem and Jon Pardi taking the stage to play the first full set of the Country Music Festival.
“I think it’s a big celebration for Country Music and Nashville being the hometown of Country Music," Pardi said before taking the stage. "It’s a huge festival, you can’t get this anywhere else because everybody lives in Nashville or has to come to Nashville, their labels are here, and it’s the place to be for Country Music and I think this week really represents that.”
The festival brings tens of thousands of Country Music Fans to downtown Nashville where CMA hosts 11 stages, played by hundreds of musicians over the four day festival.
