A juvenile driver was killed in a crash following an alleged street racing incident.
The crash happened in Macon County around 9:20 p.m. Friday on Long Creek Road at the intersection of Johnson Road.
Officials said a vehicle, driven by a juvenile from Westmoreland, was reportedly racing alongside a truck.
The juvenile went off the right side of the road, and the vehicle hit a driveway culvert causing it to cross back over to the opposite side of the road, hit a tree, and travel down a creek bank.
The driver and a juvenile passenger were ejected during the crash. The driver died from his injuries on Saturday. The passenger, from Lafayette, was injured and in unknown condition.
