A teen was killed after being struck by a CSX train in Sumner County.
Officials with the Portland Police Department said the teen, identified as 17-year-old Jon Ferrell, was walking Thursday along the tracks just south of the South Russell Street intersection when the incident happened.
He was pronounced dead at the scene around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
The investigation remained ongoing.
