NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 16-year-old was fatally shot in Nashville Friday night on Herman Street near 25th Avenue North.
Police said the shooting happened at about 10:30 p.m.
The victim was identified as Cameron Frierson, 16.
A football game at nearby Pearl-Cohn High School had ended and most of the attendees were gone.
North Precinct patrol officers quickly responded and found Frierson in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
According to witnesses, the shots were fired from a white sedan with tinted windows. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
Anyone with information about the murder is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
