Three of the five teenagers who escaped a detention center in Donelson early Saturday morning were taken into custody.
A massive police search was launched after the teens escaped the Stones River Academy detention facility on Stewart's Ferry Pike in Donelson.
Police identified the escaped teens as:
- Cornelius Moore, 17, of Shelby County
- Clifton Douglas, 16, of Shelby County
- Kequan Waller, 16, of Nashville
- Dunken Thornton, 17, of Putnam County
- Victor Hernandez, 16, of Nashville
Cornelius Moore and Kequan Waller were still on the run as of 8 a.m.
Earlier, police announced Waller had been arrested but later corrected that statement saying Clifton Douglas had been the one taken into custody.
Douglas, Thornton, and Hernandez were taken into custody near Donelson Pike at Interstate 40.
Metro police said the juveniles overpowered the guard sometime before 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Officers believed the juveniles first tried to choke the guard before hitting her over the head with a metal bar. That's when they allegedly stole the guard's keys and escaped.
Officers from multiple precincts were called in to help in the search, along with the Metro Nashville Police Department's helicopter, Air One.
The security guard was transported to Summit Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information regarding the teenager's whereabouts has been asked to call the Emergency Communications Center at 615-862-8600.
