NASHVILLE, Tenn. - There was an emotional interview with Kellie Pickler backstage at LP Field during CMA Music Fest Saturday night.
Kellie was awarded the first ever “Operation Troop Aid Chris Kyle Patriot Award.”
She was given the award by the parents of American sniper, Chris Kyle.
On stage, she embraced Kyle's mom as they cried together.
Kellie has been on eight USO tours overseas. This year she designed a T-Shirt line that donated its proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project.
