LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVF) — Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed the first positive case of COVID-19 has been reported in Lexington, according to LEX18 News.

The only details released on the case was the location. The office will not be releasing more information on the patient at this time as they work to establish contacts.

During an earlier press conference Thursday, Beshear had stated that there were no confirmed cases of the virus in the Bluegrass. 10 people had been tested, seven had come back negative and three results were outstanding. That was until this afternoon when one test came back positive.

The governor urged people to practice good hygiene.
