FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVF) — Kentucky reported 171 new cases of the novel coronavirus Saturday, bringing the state's total to 3,905.
Governor Andy Beshear announced 5 new deaths as well, bringing that total to 205. Beshear said 94 of those deaths were residents of long-term care facilities.
The state saw some of their biggest daily increases in testing this past week and hopes to continue those efforts. So far 46,558 residents have been tested. Eleven drive-thru sites throughout the state will be open next week.
