HOPKINSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A mail carrier had to be airlifted to an area hospital after a dog attack in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
According to police report, the victim was delivering mail when a pit bull ran out of the home and “began to viciously attack” her. It took two people to fight the dog off her.
She suffered a severe injury to her leg and had to be airlifted to an area hospital, police said.
The dog was voluntarily surrendered into the custody of the animal shelter.
Police said Debra Kaye Alexander was charged with harboring a vicious animal.
