TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. — A man in the Philippines has been extradited back to Kentucky on charges of sexual abuse of a child that allegedly took place when he was a resident of Trigg County.
According to a press release sent by Kentucky State Police (KSP), they began an investigation in March 2017 on 37-year-old Richard Baker after receiving information that he had sexually abused a child under the age of 12 when he lived in Trigg County. Because Baker was overseas in Marikina Manila in the Philippines, KSP worked with multiple agencies on the investigation.
A Trigg County indictment was issued in May 2018.
With the help of the U.S. Marshals Service and INTERPOL, Baker was fond in the Philippines and detained early February. He was released from the Philippines to the Marshals Service on April 18, flown to the United States and delivered to the Georgia Department of Corrections. KSP extradited Baker back to Kentucky yesterday, where he was booked into the Christian County jail on multiple charges.
