NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A mother was able to watch her daughter graduate even while in the hospital waiting for a lung transplant.
Jaszmon Perez is a senior at Kenwood High School in Clarksville.
Graduation is this week, but her mother has been at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for 45 days awaiting a lung transplant.
Nurses and school officials made sure she still had that special graduation moment. They teamed up and decided to put on a special graduation ceremony in her mother's hospital room.
To celebrate, Jasmine and her mother took a lap around the hospital floor to the cheers and delight of family and staff.
