The best and brightest young rodeo competitors from Tennessee were hoping to win more than a million dollars in scholarships up for grabs.

That was taking place at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo that got underway in Lebanon Saturday.

The 12th annual event featured roughly 1,000 contestants from 43 states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia.

This has been known as the world's largest junior high rodeo.

The National Junior High Finals Rodeo concluded Saturday night in Lebanon at the Ward Agriculture Center.
