NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Kids had some fun with Metro Police officers in a sidewalk chalk competition at the development James A. Cayce Homes in Nashville
The police department's community engagement team to put the fun event on to strengthen the relationship with children in the area.
Kids drew many designs on the basketball court Wednesday afternoon and played ball with officers.
It was the first time officers in the east precinct have organized a competition like this. They simply wanted to make a difference in the lives of children and also adults.
NewsChannel 5's Brandon Marshall even helped judge the final chalk drawings. Some gift cards were be given away for prizes.
