MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — The lawsuit between the father of a kidnapping victim and the Maury County Board of Education has been settled.
Tad Cummins, a former Culleoka Unit School teacher, pleaded guilty to charges of transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of engaging in criminal sexual conduct and obstruction of justice.
The victim's father sued the school saying the principal and teachers knew something inappropriate was going on but did nothing about it.
Details of the agreement were not included in the settlement notice. The court granted both parties a deadline of February 10 to file stipulation of dismissal or settlement
