Lindsey Lowe Considering Appeal To US Supreme Court

Posted

The Middle Tennessee mother who killed her newborn twins is now considering an appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Lindsey Lowe was convicted of smothering the infants after delivering them in 2011. After the high-profile trial, she was sentenced to life in prison.

The Tennessee Supreme Court upheld that conviction in July, but Lowe’s attorney, David Rabin, asked for a review of that decision.

Again, the court denied that most recent request. Her last chance at a new trial would be the U.S. Supreme Court.

However, that would be a long shot. The highest court only hears a handful of cases each year out of thousands who appeal.
