NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Lipscomb will play for the NIT Championship after defeating Wichita State 71-64 inside Madison Square Garden.
The Bisons scored the last 14 points of the game to punch their ticket to the championship.
Garrison Matthews led the Bisons with 34 points.
Kenny Cooper had 10 assists and Eli Pepper grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds in the victory.
Lipscomb picked up their 29th win of the season Tuesday night.
The Bisons will play Texas in the championship game Thursday night in New York City. Texas defeated TCU in the other semifinal.
