COVID-19 in Kentucky: 8,167 total cases, 376 deaths as of May 20

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVF) — Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said 166 additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed on Wednesday. Kentucky has confirmed a total of 8,167 cases since the outbreak began.

Ten people have died due to complications with the virus since the governor's update on Tuesday evening, six of which were from long-term facilities. A total of 376 Kentuckians have died.

As of Wednesday, 2,919 people have recovered from the novel coronavirus and 158,672 tests have been administered.

Gov. Beshear gave an update on the pandemic's impact in the commonwealth and Kentucky's reopening process.
