NASHVILLE, Tenn (WTVF) — An AFC title for the Tennessee Titans could be the icing on the cake, and for some local bakeries they're banking on it.

Local bakeries tell us they’ve been receiving several calls on Titans theme goodies and sweets. The Cupcake Collection is getting in those last minute AFC championship party orders.

"We’ve made sure to order some things that are Titans blue, and we have so many people calling in, we had an order go out for 300 for this morning for our customize blue red velvet," said Mignon Francois. She says Tennessee Titans cupcakes are a hot item now with the teams successful record.

And as the team inches closer to the Super Bowl, the road to victory gets sweeter each time. Francois says the phones started ringing off the wall early Friday morning.

The same was going on over at Cakepop Heaven on Harding Pike. Owner Robin Stromatt says this week has been busy for her, too. She's been whipping up her signature treats with a savory twist.

"It’s a sweet deal for us because we love the Titans number one and of course we love being creative," said Stromatt.

Both shops say when the teams win, so do they when it comes to more money and more business.

Staff with Cupcake Collection tell us their cupcakes are part of the wager between Mayor John Cooper and the Mayor of Kansas City.
