Two people have been arrested following multiple robberies at hotels in Middle Tennessee.

Officials in Franklin said they took 32-year-old Dashaun Hickerson, of Antioch, into custody. He was being held in the Rutherford County Jail.

Reports stated they searched for 40-year-old Gregg Merrilees, of Murfreesboro, for two days. On Sunday night, officials confirmed he had been taken into custody in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Indian Park Drive in Murfreesboro.

Merrilees was charged with aggravated robbery, burglary, and theft under $1,000. He was being held on a $75,000 bond.

Authorities with the Franklin Police Department began their investigation after a robbery on January 11 at Baymont Inn on Franklin Commons Court.

In that robbery, one suspect who was armed with a gun and a second who was armed with a knife allegedly menaced the overnight clerk and demanded cash.

Detectives from Franklin, Nashville, and Smyrna have been working together on this case.
