A man was taken into custody after a high speed pursuit across Wilson and Smith counties.
Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the incident began early Friday morning when a suspect, identified as Tommy L. Parsley, fled a trooper on South Mt. Juliet Road near Central Pike.
At some point, Parsley’s vehicle hit and damaged a patrol car but he kept driving.
The chase continued onto Carthage Highway into Smith County, where officials deployed spike strips.
After several miles, he turned onto Boulton Bend Lane in Carthage and the pursuit ended.
No one was hurt.
The 33-year-old Mt. Juliet man was booked on the following charges: reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, vandalism of state property, implied consent, DUI, driving on revoked – sixth offense, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated domestic assault, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault on an officer, evading arrest, speeding 108 mph in a 70 mph, failure to maintain lane and due care, and a registration violation.
Multiple agencies were called in to assist with the pursuit.
