Officials with the Murfreesboro Police Department responded to the scene of a stabbing.
The incident happened on Sevier Street Thursday morning.
Authorities received an emergency call of a man bleeding badly from stab wounds to his back and shoulder.
LifeFlight was called in to assist and transport the victim.
Officers did take a suspect into custody near Spring Street and Academy Street. No identities were released.
The investigation into the cause of the stabbing remained ongoing.
