1 Charged After Firing Shots At Car At Stop Sign

One man has been charged with attempted homicide after firing shots at a car while at a stop sign.

Police said Issac Leverett was charged with attempted homicide and three counts of aggravated assault.

According to reports, he was in a car when he pulled out a gun and shot at the victim’s car three times.

They were at the stop sign at the corner of Green Street and Fairfield Avenue.

Authorities said the victim, Travis Jordan, was shot in the back, and the bullet traveled to his stomach. He underwent emergency surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 

There were three others in the car, including a 2-year-old.

Officials said two of the four victims picked Leverett out of a lineup.
