Two men have been on the run after a deadly, late night shooting in West End.
Police were called to the Acklen Park Apartments around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
When they arrived, they found the victim, identified as 39-year-old Marall Edwards, had already died of a gunshot wound. Officers reportedly saw two other men running away from the scene when they arrived.
Authorities said the shooting appeared to be drug-related.
The property was blocked off with crime scene tape until about 5:30 a.m. as investigators gathered evidence from the parking lot and a unit at the complex. One of the apartments had a biohazard sign on its door.
Details on the two men who fled were limited. One man was wearing all black, and the other was wearing either a red shirt or shorts.
