One person was hospitalized after a shooting on Ryder Avenue in Clarksville.
The incident happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police said witnesses were offering conflicting stories about what happened, but they think it stemmed from an altercation at a nearby convenience store.
Two people confronted others in a vehicle before firing into the car.
That car was located a short time later after it crashed into a fence and a stop sign.
According to police, the person who was shot was not involved in the altercation.
