One person has been injured in a shooting south of downtown.
The incident happened before 6 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Charles E. Davis Boulevard.
Authorities confirmed the victim of the shooting was taken to St. Thomas Midtown hospital by a relative.
Officials said his injuries were serious. He was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The shooting allegedly happened when a group of people were hanging out and someone pulled out a gun.
